Donald Trump loves being on the cover of magazines. The walls of his Manhattan office are filled with framed magazine covers from years past, but now that he’s running for president, “I have so many that I can’t put them up,” Trump told the Washington Post.
Even if there’s no room on his walls for more frames, Trump still touts his coverage.
“You know, I think I was on the cover of TIME Magazine twice in my life and like six times in the last number of months,” he said at a press conference in July. “So you tell me, which is more important, real estate or politics, OK?”
As Trump aged, he has evolved in the eyes of the media from a lothario (his Playboy cover hangs prominently in his office) to a real estate mogul, a reality television star and, as of June 16, 2015, a candidate for President of the United States.
And he would probably be the first to say that the best way to look at him through the years is on the covers of magazines.
